Those who vehemently insist that news on the internet should be free entirely miss the point of “fair exchange”. Creating a product, in this case an article, or service and charging a fair price that customers are willing to pay is perfectly fair and valid in the business world, and has been for thousands of years. The internet has not changed this principle.
